Physician-modified device workshop

This will be a practical workshop on physician-modified devices in the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms.

Participants will be able to become familiar with the PMD workflow1 of the Semmelweis Aortic Center:

  • plan a fenestrated EVAR with a physician-modified device for a juxtarenal aortic aneurysm
  • learn how to translate the planned fenestrations onto a specific device utilizing the punch card technique2
  • learn how to create a CMD-like3 reinforcement with a Hungaroring4
  • learn how to create a non-perforating diameter reduction5
  • learn hot to reload the device into the original delivery system
  • deploy the device under fluoroscopy in a 3D printed model as part of a dry run in a hybrid OR.
